Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our product management team. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in a product-based company and will be responsible for analyzing business needs, gathering requirements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that meet market demands.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering and Analysis
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
- Conduct detailed analysis of business processes and workflows to identify improvement opportunities.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications for the development team.
Product Development Support
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and developers to ensure alignment of business objectives with product features.
- Participate in the design and development process, providing insights and recommendations based on analysis.
- Assist in prioritizing product features and maintaining the product backlog.
Documentation and Communication
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation including business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and user stories.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to ensure clear understanding and alignment.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
Data Analysis and Reporting
- Utilize data analysis tools to interpret and present data insights that inform product decisions.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track product performance and identify trends.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to support strategic planning.
Testing and Quality Assurance
- Collaborate with QA teams to develop test plans and ensure thorough testing of new features.
- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide feedback to the development team.
- Monitor and track issues, ensuring timely resolution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience as a Business Analyst in a product-based company.
- Proven experience in requirements gathering, business process analysis, and documentation.
- Strong understanding of product development lifecycles and agile methodologies.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in business analysis tools such as
- JIRA: for issue tracking and project management.
- Confluence: for documentation and collaboration.
- SQL: for data querying and analysis.
- Microsoft Excel: for data analysis and reporting.
- Tableau/Power BI: for data visualization and dashboard creation.
- Visio/Lucidchart: for process modeling and flowchart creation.
